Parker Farms
The tight-knit Parker family started farming back in 1974 with a two-acre pick-your-own operation. Always on the lookout for better ways to do things, over time they expanded to more than a thousand acres and got into organic farming.
Instead of making customers come to them, they partnered with other family farms to bring their produce to the people. Their philosophy of “harvest one day, deliver the next” turned out to be the perfect fit for us.
So does their commitment to quality. Because they’re a sustainable regional grower and not a giant agribusiness, they’re on site fulltime to make sure everything gets inspected. That reduces spoilage and the need to over-package and repackage.
Today, the third generation of Parkers is still finding new ways to do things better. Their packing and cold storage facility is 90% solar powered. But one thing hasn’t changed – they still treat their fellow growers, farm workers, and customers like members of the family.
