Pizza Bundle Recipe

If you ordered the Pizza Bundle, here are the preparation instructions provided to us by John from Curds and Whey!
Directions:
  1. Ideally, the dough should be thawed and allowed to rise in the fridge over a 48 hour time period, this allows the character of the dough to develop slowly and the result will taste better. 24 hours will be sufficient if you have less time. Take the dough out of the refrigerator about an hour prior to working for ease of stretching/forming.
  2. When the dough is room temperature, pick the dough up and toss it back and forth between the palms of your hands until it begins to stretch, forms a rough disc, and gets thinner. Work slowly, allowing the weight of the dough itself to stretch and do not force it or it will tear and can make the crust too chewy.
  3. Dust the work surface with flour and set the crust down. Press it with your fingers and pull it gently at the edges to even out the circle.
  4. Using a ladle, spread about 1/4 – 1/2 cup marinara on the dough. Add sliced or shredded mozzarella according to taste, and add any toppings you like!
  5. Bake at 500° for 10-15 minutes, until crust is golden brown, cheese is bubbly, and the middle of the pie feels cooked through. Let rest for a few minutes prior to cutting and serving.
