Thanks so much to all of you who made generous donations to local service organizations this Thanksgiving! Did you know that just by being a Seasonal Roots member, you help thousands of food-insecure folks to put fresh, nutritious food on the table all year long?
We don’t want to see a single piece of locally-grown produce go to waste, so every week, we share surplus fruits & veggies with our community partners, who do great work getting it to those in need. We have longstanding partnerships with Five Loaves, St. Thomas’ Food Pantry, Food Not Bombs, Fonticello Food Forest, the Justin J. Davis Heart Foundation, and a handful of wonderful, dedicated individuals.
And with your ongoing support, we’ve been able to welcome new additions to the family this year: the Bless Cookies Community Network, SevaTruck RVA, Zion House, Richmond Mutual Aid, and RVA Community Fridges!
